EJ’s Auction & Consignment Re-opens in Larger Glendale “Big Box” Building on Sat., Jan. 25

New space at 59th Ave. & Bell serves as a retail auction and consignment store

GLENDALE (January 22, 2014) – EJ’s Auction & Consignment re-opens its doors at 9 a.m. on Sat., Jan. 25 in a new larger “Big Box” location at 5880 W. Bell Road, Ste. B, on the northeast corner of 59th Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale. Prompted by an increase in demand for services, the move into a larger 29,000-square-foot location comes less than a year after EJ’s opened its first location in February 2012 at 57th Avenue and Peoria Road.
“We’re excited to unveil our new space and expanded services,” said Erik Hoyer, co-founder of EJ’s Auction & Consignment. “Whether you’re shopping in our consignment store during the week or you attend our Saturday auctions, you’ll find a variety of high-quality household and commercial items at amazing prices. Everything from pots and pans to furniture and art, there is something new every week.”

Patrons to EJ’s grand opening on Jan. 25 will experience a unique retail environment featuring three distinct sections. The front of the building houses estate furniture, fine art and other high-quality pieces in EJ’s “First Call” retail consignment store, which is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Saturdays, the central and rear sections of the building are transformed to conduct simultaneous live auctions. The “Bid Find” live auction in the building’s center features estate furniture, jewelry and collectibles. The “Crate Find” live auction in the rear of the building features box lots, tools, appliances as well as larger items that are housed in train-sized shipping containers. Both live auctions will include hundreds of items up for bid beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturdays.

Hoyer said EJ’s live auctions are for people of all ages. “We’re neither stuffy nor are we like a warehouse sale. We encourage everyone to come see how much fun we have and most importantly, how many deals they can find.”

Erik Hoyer and Josh Levine co-own EJ’s Auction & Consignment in Glendale and J. Levine Auction & Appraisal in Scottsdale. Demand for services have increased so much, a second EJ’s location is slated to open in Mesa later this year.
