GLENDALE, Ariz. (June 11, 2019) – An Alaskan prehistoric Mastodon tusk, an antique Edward Farmer jade censer, an original oil painting by Hungarian artist Vilmos Aba- Novak…these are just some of the rare collectibles that will hit the auction block on Friday, June 14 during EJ’s Auction & Appraisal’s Summer Catalog Auction.
A free preview takes place Wednesday through Friday (June 12-14) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with live and online bidding starting at 6 p.m. PT at the full-service auction house, located at 5880 W. Bell Road, in Glendale on the northeast corner of 59th Avenue and Bell Road.
“This is a diverse, high-end collection that comes from multiple estates,” said Erik Hoyer, CEO of EJ’s Auction & Appraisal. “We’re already getting a lot of online interest for the prehistoric Mastodon tusk and other items, and while online bidding is convenient, we encourage people to bid in-person Friday night. It’s a fun atmosphere, you can view the items you want to bid on, and you save with a lower buyer’s premium.”
Hoyer said the June 14 Summer Catalog Auction will include coveted items from several affluent estates. Items expecting to create a bidding frenzy include:
- An Alaskan Prehistoric Mastodon Tusk
- An Antique Edward Farmer Jade Censer
- A Vilmos Aba- Novak (1894-1941) Oil on Panel
- Marcel Dyf (1899-1985) Oil Painting on Canvas
- Cyrus Edwin Dallin (1861-1944) Bronze Sculpture
- Blue Square Cut 1.00ct Diamond Gemstone
